655T Garmin Rino
« on: December 11, 2011, 06:24:34 PM »
Anybody ever own one and know if its any good.  My old man still buys us gifts for Christmas and just called and told me that's what he got me.  I told him he's nuts and to save his money but he insists, but wants me to make sure I would want it.  Well I looked it up and looks fancy and all with touch screen, camera, and many other options, but fancy doesn't always come trouble free.  Do they work good, or has anybody had trouble with this gps.  I know if its anything like my pos cell phone I'd rather him save his money and stay clear of it.  Thanks in advance.

My experience is that Garmin produces quality products. I have owned several Models and they got better each move up the scale. Of course there is always the possibility of a bad one in every bunch. However, I would suggest that you should assume that you will be totally satisfied with this unit. I have heard nothing but good about it.
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

I just got the 610 for Christmas, little early :) I still need to figure out how to use it, lol. It's my first GPS, a must in AK. I didn't get the 655 because I carry a nice camera already.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Thanks KB, I assume they would have a good warranty on their products then, and TM is that the only difference between the two, the camera?  I also pack a good camera along.
