It's time to HUNT!
Goose and duck question

I cant seem to find it in the regs, but I have seen on occasion domestic geese and ducks that may have started domestic but now appear to be wild and well away from any farms or homes. Can you harvest them or is it illegal to shoot them?

Unless specified by sub species in the regs a goose is a goose and a a duck is a duck depending on where you hunt. Just use caution in determining where it came from. You shoot someones pet and you give them a reason to complain about hunters.

Shoot them. Domestics can carry many diseases that can spread to the wild population. Morage ducks and the semi tamies should be harvested in the wild.

Might as well shoot them and get them out of the wild duck populations, we dont need them trying to breed the wild waterfowl.
Just make sure to thank the kid who lost his latest FFA project

They don't even count to your limit of 7 ducks. Starings, Rock Doves and domestic ducks and geese.
Call me and I'll buy your ammo and your lunch

I see them from time to time on a pond that I hunt. I believe they are coming over from a golf course that is down the road. There are not any homes close to that area, and I imagine between the pond and the golf course is what they call home.
