I'm not sure how they do on cats but I know they can devastate if they exit. Someone recommended light weight otm ammo. It's not quite as much ricochet risk but tends to just punch little holes through both sides. Have yet to try it out yet though. I shall see.

I shot a deer and an elk with them this year out of my 7mag. Worked great. Broke both shoulders, both times, dropped in their tracks. Punched a little hole in both shoulders, but no bloodshot meat. Both the shoulder's were broken pretty good, but not shattered. They group real nice too.

When I go out I take the 52gr Amax in my mag. They seem to not be as explosive as the v-max but put a serious hurt on the coyotes Ive hit with out blowing them apart  I dont think I would use the barns on a yote or light body animal for fear of it not expanding. After this year with the uncertain results from the gmx tell I personaly see them work I'm sticking with noslers or vmax.

thanks :hello:  i ll pick up some boxes of each and give them a try. Good point on no expansion on the smaller animals, would do fine for a big cat most likely.
