I'd hate to toss out a number as it wasn't weighed, but was crazy heavy for a whitetail.  I usually toss my little ones in the back of the truck like a bale of hay   :chuckle:

Good job dad on raising such a good son.  He'll definitely be blessed some day with the opportunity to harvest another just like it or even bigger, keep it up dad. :tup:

Nice buck!  IMO there is no such thing a "too big" for a kids first animal.

Sounds like he did the right thing, but that picture will haunt him for a long time.  I did the same, just once and never forgot about it.
