The area I hunt in Eastern Washington is so overrun with black bears that the thought of another predator running around may actually make me go hunt in Idaho. I don't want to pay for those out of state tags but it may be the better option. We have to find a way to put a stop to this. I already told you how to put a stop to this.Vote Republican in 2012...for governor and your state legislator. The Teamsters may tell you to vote Democrat and they'll probably endorse Inslee for governor. Ignore them. We need to change the political power in Olympia and put someone in the governor's office who will make sound, sane appointments to the Commission. It's that simple.

Trapping wolves is tough stuff...they're smart animals. Once they're in the trap someone has to be able to immobilze them (temporarily!! ) using drugs that are available only though veterinarians. It's not going to work with a group of volunteers without experience. It's going to take trained people that are committed to checking traps at least 2x a day for however long it takes to catch a wolf and are prepared to handle an animal appropriately once it's caught. The agencies are not going to allow this to happen without some serious oversight.

Trapping and aerial gunning are the only real options (I would think) that could really control the wolf population........and what are the chances of that ever happening here?
