Local Shop
« on: December 05, 2011, 08:40:52 PM »
I am in the market to buy a bow as it seems a few guys on here are. I want to find a good local shop/club. I am located in Bothell and have no
problem taking a drive if I feel it is worth it. I have done some research and found a club I want to check out after I get a bow but was hoping you
guys could recommend a shop that helped you out. Call me a little old school but I still want to give my business to good guys even if they arnt bottom
dollar. Let me know about some guys that could set me up and that you recommend.

Thanks

-JH

Riverside Archery in Mt. Vernon is the only shop I'll use locally, I live in the Snohomish area.  I've known Gary for better than 20 years, great guy and will treat you right.

Well if you were down here in the south end, I would recomend Doug at Great NW fish and Archery.
(He is located in Puyallup)

Have only been to The Nock Point, which was last weekend.  We are getting into archery ourselves, and will say that Bill won our business.  He went above and beyond to help us.

Located in Mountlake Terrace....

 :yeah:

x3 for Nock Point.  Even though I did not buy my bow there, I have been there for shooting lessons and have used the range.  Great people to deal with and when my friend got his bow, Bill took care of him and got him all set up.

:yeah: Definitely worth the drive from Bothell...it never hurts to have multiple resources.

I worry about belonging to a club that accepts people like me as members.

Right on guys, thanks for the inputs. I am going to check out Nock point and Riverside but if I make it down south I will make sure to go to Great NW.

I went down to The Outdoor Emporium in Seattle last week, because they carry the Mathews Mission Bows I have been looking at online. Andy took me behind the store and we spent several hours test shooting them, a Bowtech and a high end Mathews, just for comparison. I was just planning on looking, but I somehow have a sweet new bow at home!?! Go there, ask for Andy. I'm sure the Nock Point is good too, but great customer service is a must for me, and the Outdoor Emporium has it.

Great input on Nockpoint and Riverside,  do yourself a favor and go shoot Elite, Bowtech, MAitland and Strothers up at WIlderness Archery also... Roger will take good care of you.

Van whinkels archery in Everett has not been known for its customer service over the last few year but I believe it has been addressed and fixed.  There is a new employee behind the counter now and the owner seems to be spending much more time there because of it.  They are also working on putting in shooting lanes down stairs.

have not been into van winkles for quite some time because of their customer service but they do have a decent inventory. i personally do my business at the nock point but would not hesitate to give gary at riverside my business either.
