Do you have one of these? I was looking at it. It says it weighs 5 lbs. That seems awfully heavy. If you own one, do you like it?

I keep hearing that the eberlestock packs are heavier than most but the construction is better.  I am looking at an internal frame pack and have yet to put my hands on one of the eberlestocks.

I have been doing a lot of research on these packs and yes they are heavier but like stated before it has alot to do with materials! I think the J107 dragonfly comes in at over 8 pounds

That is the one that I was looking at.  Do you know anywhere on the westside that carries them?  I have been to outdoor emporium, wholesale sports and cabelas and have yet to get my hands on one.

Well runner if you are replying to me post then I found one at wholesale sports and was looking at the J34 at Ranch and home here in the tri-cities.

bought the X2  .... about 18-1900 cu inches.. not heavy   nice little rig.
Like the belt on the badlands 2200 better, but hate the height and wet back after a long hunt.
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.

Love my Eberlestock.  You can have half a deer or more in it and hike a long ways with little strain.  It is comfortable  and distributes the weight nicely.  You put a whole deer in it and you better have someone there to prop you up if you stumble and go down.   The pack turns into a turtle shell at that point.

I have the J107 and love it.  Packed out both front quarters of my dads elk this year with it.  Didn't have to go too far, but with quite the load, I was very impressed with how it carried if for me.  I love the pack.

Picking up archery this year, and looking for a little less bulk.  Just picked bought the X1 for my brother for Christmas.  Can't wait to see it and see how it works out.

Nope don't have one. Just thought I'd post the link since you don't see them on the site much and I figured they'd go quick
