Tri-Cities duck report
« on: December 09, 2011, 08:48:34 AM »
Has anybody hunted the Tri-Cities area over the past few days and if so, how was it? My buddy is out at one of our spots this morning and he said it is dead, like it was last weekend when I was there. I have two friends coming over and am considering making the drive down that way if it is any better. We have our own spots so not looking for that, just what you guys have been seeing. We ususally hunt in Burbank...

I know its different here in the yakima valley but there aren't very ducks around right now. Have not seen mallards in the corn or any new mallards.

Not many birds around Othello and Royal City either. I might just have to go out for drinks tonight, sleep in tomorrow and take the boat out and scout the Columbia instead.

I supsect the birds havent really moved down yet.  Went past Soap lake last sunday and would guess there were about 10,000 Canadas on it (I went by mid day, but I'm guessig the fields between there and Ephrata are red hot in the mornings ) I did'nt notice a lot of ducks on there, but suspect if the geese are still up that way, the ducks probably are also.

I know a good spot on the Yakima. There were lots of ducks there after elk season. Only got to hunt one day...
Anyone interested in going on a hunt with me? shoot me a PM. I will be back in Washington late DEC.

I got a dog, guns. Great little spot with little pressure.....
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...

Drop me a line if you are looking for a hunting partner some day. I make the trip several times a year to hunt others over there, and always like meeting new people  :hello:

I would think with every thing freezing up there would be a ton of birds on the columbia :dunno:
3 kinds of duck hunters, duck hunters that make it happen, duck hunters that watch it happen and duck hunters that wonder how it happen.                                 MEMBER WWA SOUTHWEST CHAPTER
