And that my friend is Ignorance at it's best. I don't see the need to make a video as if your bragging that you forced an animal to jump off a cliff. Maybe it's just me but it makes me think of an aircraft that was flown into a building that forced men and women to jump to their death because they had no other choice.  :bash:  :bash:  :bash:

It was an incredible situation worthy of filming and sharing. Normally this wouldn't be mildy unethical. How many times have elk been shot that have taken a tumble down a cliff or hillside? My last bull took quite the spill down a hill. (Please tell me there are some of us on here whose ethics are that they WOULDN'T take that shot....)

But I agree with Ross, Jager, and DeerHunter. The music and some of the commentary put it over the top. And the hippies will use it for thier cause.

Ranger, I agree with your statement about the ignorance factor. I don't agree with your analogy with elk hunt vs. 9-11. The video was an awesome hunting opportunity that is portrayed with the potential for skewed perception. 9-11 was a frickin tradjedy that this video doesn't hold a candle to.

Looks like some hunters were raised without ethics :twocents:

Wow, wish I could just smack that hunter along side the head with a 2x4.  Knock some damn sense into their thick skull.  That *censored* just pisses me off.  We have enough problems with the way we are perceived as hunters by the rest of the population.  We do not need this crap floating around on Youtube and other places.

Poor ethics is just the start.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

I really dont see anything unethical about this. They shot an elk standing on a cliff. It fell off the cliff. Just like 90% of goat hunts and no one seems to care about that. The way the video was presented was terrible and I would never put something like that up on the interne though.

pretty much a d**k move to put music to it and make a "hunting video" out of it.  to each there own i guess.  sometimes i think we do more damage to our own reputation than the anti's out there.

I will agree that the video was distasteful but the antis will always hate you to the core, nothing you will ever be able to do about that.

:bash:      :bdid:

I am not sure I would of taken the shot...feels kinda wrong well plus I dont think I want to gutshoot an elk and that was the only shot I could see  :dunno:

anti's will enjoy it I am sure it reinforces their view of the evil cruel unethical hunter

i know the anti's will always hate us, but i was refering more about people who dont neccessarily hunt themselves but make back what we do.  Just not a video that i would use to argue that hunters are always ethical and care about the game we chase.
