Youth Hunting Packs
« on: December 11, 2011, 05:20:09 PM »
Where can I get a couple youth packs at a decent price? I have two 11 YO sons that need them. I have found a few, but none seem to have the waist belt. Is that just the standard?
Thanks for any help you may be able to give!!

Here are my two sporting pacs from Cabelas. Couple years ago at 10 and 12 yrs old...  Good pacs, probably 50$ea...

These pacs have good shoulder straps and a chest strap but no waist/hip strap, probably cause it would not be necessary since you are not loading them up with a ton of weight...

Since them I have bought them pacboards to save my legs and back... :chuckle:

Iceman, are those the ones that come with the hydration bladder?
I think those are the one I've been looking at from Cabelas. Do they have a waist belt?

I bought a pnew pack at Cabelas this year for my 11yr old son that works great. ALPS outdoorz is the name. I couldnt find one that we liked in his size, but this one we were able to shorten it easily to fit him comforably. It has padded shouled straps, waist band, and chest strap. Works great. He is a smaller 11yr old. Also he will never grow out of it.  Cost about $40.

Whole bunch at Warehouse Sports.  Think they're ALPS.  I have a Badlands Ultraday.  Should fit your kids since I'm small frame too.  It's comfortable but a little pricey.
