Rattlin during dec.

Have any of you blacktail hunters had any sucess during the late season calling, or rattlin bucks? Thinking of trying it during the next 2 days.

I have never rattled in December but the largest and most agressive Mule Deer fight I have witnessed happened in December.  Two large bucks started to fight over a doe and all of a sudden all kinds of bucks started to come from different pockets of Brush/Trees.  The mid-size bucks just watched and then all of a sudden they went at it with each other.  this wasn't the typical sparring match, it was a brawl.  Never seen anything like it and never seen anything like it again.

you might not bring in a rutting buck now,but can raise the curiosity of some smaller bucks..

I ran into a guy on whidbey island last week with some rattling antlers.

I've been rattling a couple of times a day in different setups everywhere from Nov 23rd - today. Mostly rattling from the tree stand, have yet to ever see/hear one react or come in.
