I should have bought an archery tag-NICE Whitey
« on: December 09, 2011, 09:16:21 AM »
Big guy escaped the rifle late hunt and has moved from his Nov. hide-out a mile and a half away to my back yard!!!! Loves to eat pumpkins. 2nd pic is of the same buck in front of one of my stands during the late hunt. My hunter decided to hunt a different stand that day.  Dang.

Great looking buck! Looks young. Should be real nice next year.
If we were supposed to be vegetarian God would have made broccoli more fun to shoot!
"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?

He'll be better next year.  Used to see some great bucks around your place.  I saw a neat 4x4 that was 23" inside spread spread cross the highway and run through your yard one night.  I know he was 23" cause your neighbor found him dead between the highway and the river later that year.  Guess he should have stayed off the road.  I once found a couple of whopper sheds under the apple trees that are by  the sub station.  The bears love it there too!

Yea, we get a lot of road kills on our stretch of the road.   Which neighbor found that buck?   I talked to the guy with the mink farm and he said there was a gaint buck killed down the road a couple weeks ago. He heard about it from a passer-by and by the time ge got there someone had cut it's head off.... I have trail cams in the yard and got a couple pics of spotlights shining on deer last week. Have not seen this guy since.... I am going to post a warning on the hiway.".Beware These Deer Shoot Back"  Love to catch someone poaching in our yard. Then again maybe not....might not like the food they serve in the Colville jail.

Im sure you knew him.  He USE to live on the hill directly behind you.  He said he found the buck under the BIG pine tree across from the dirt road turn out.  You probaly know which tree I mean.  Told me He shot a bear out of that tree and went down to it and the buck was laying there under the tree.  He said the bear had been feeding on the buck which was more then likely hit by a car.  Or maybe it was those spotlighters you got running around there?  >:(  This was a few years ago though.
