5'6" Cinnamon Phase Black Bear Rug (MNTaxidermy)
« on: December 13, 2011, 03:54:36 PM »
I know it has been a while since I have posted any photos.  It's been a crazy year with a lot going on and I havn't had a chance to take photos and get them posted.

This is the second Bear Rug I've done for this guy.  It's a 5'6" Cinnamon Color Phased Black Bear.  Has a real nice thick coat.  This Rug has 2 layers of Coco Brown Felt.  The customer asked me to shorten the felt on the Bear so thats what I did.  I didn't get quite as many pic's as I wanted and even a couple of the ones I got were not very good because the sun started coming out a few minutes after I started taking them.

Very nice as always Michelle!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

CAMPMEAT,

Here is a link to some Referance photos of several different Bears that show the wrinkle/lines going from the eye to nose.  There are a couple dozen photos when you scroll down.

Wow very nice michelle! from what I have heard rugs are pretty spendy  :dunno: is it due the fact that they very labor intensive or is there some out of the ordinary step required in doing these? Looks great though

400out,

Here is a link to another thread on HW where Rug pricing was discussed.  I have a rough Break down of the Labor and Supplies for a 6' Bear rug in that thred.

The Bear Rug above was aprox $980 after sales tax.

Looks great Michelle, you did an awesome job on the facial features a lot of times they look really fake but this one doesn't at all.

Thanks Michelle. I'll have to keep an eye on the noses next year. It sure makes them look meaner than they really are.
