My 9 year old Son's First Blacktail Deer
« on: December 15, 2011, 02:29:29 PM »
I am very excited to report that after a long season my 9 year old son shot his first deer with his bow! He made a perfect shot on this beautiful mature doe at 15 yards. I couldn't be more proud of him. This is a season we will never forget!!

Awesome!!! Congrats to you both. That's cooler than most pictures posted on this site if you ask me. I can't wait for my son to grow into a hunter (he's 2 years old).

Very nice.

I have a nephew that wants to start bow hunting. He is on the smaller side for his age. Does your son have any problems drawing the bow at hunting weight?

Thanks every one for the replies.rylee was shooting a micro midas 3 set at 41#,his broadhead was a buzzcut 4 blade on a gold tip arrow, the buzzcut did some damage and dropped her in her tracks done.my boy pulls the 41# pretty easy but letting down is another story, he shoots a bt evolution release and still pulls the 41# with no problem. there is alot of good youth bows out there these days, pretty much every bow manufacturer has a good youth bow, some more adjustable than others, that being said rylee will have a Martin in his hands next year. thanks again for all the kind words.
