Currently because of COVID we cannot hold any Trapper Education classes. There is an online class you can take https://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/requirements/education/trapping
The class itself is free. The tags are not issued by the State. You purchase them privately, name /address or Wild ID#. A quick search found a supplier selling them $13.00 for 50. Prices may vary.
Be aware WA is a cage trap State so how much of your stuff you can use from another State is a question mark. You'll see when you look at the manual available in the link I posted.

Thank you. I was able to find the manual, laws and restrictions. All of my traps are illegal and I’ve never cage trapped before. So I guess it’s time to learn a new trick.

I found the test, took it and passed with only missing one (which I should not have missed!).  Does that satisfy the State enough to purchase the license or is there another hoop to jump through?
Thank for all your postings on the subject.

You should be able to purchase a license now. It sometime takes a couple days for your passing the test to catch up with entering your information into the system. Probably more so over the holidays.

Always makes a guy jump!

Did you have the cage flat like that? Or it get tipped when he was fighting the cage? How tall is it if you set it flat like that?

The cage was sitting upright but he Must have knocked it over on its side. The trap is one of Bruce’s 10x18 cat traps. I got two different coyotes in it last year

First time buying trapper license. Where is it supposed to be online? I can see my trapper certification has been updated in the system and I see a companion card but no actual license to purchase?
