Our critters
« on: March 19, 2012, 10:41:34 AM »
This is my boy Dealer up in the Pasayten. The pack horse is my buddy's. Been a great horse for me. Loves the trail, and recently tried him out team penning. He's not the fastest horse, but he'll get it done.

South Fork Walla Walla

The bay is my lady's. He's foundation bred, used as a stud and cutter most of his life, but he's getting hock/stifle issues so he's all trail now. This is up in the North Fork Umatilla Wilderness.

We also have 2 fillies out of that bay that will be cutting prospects. I'm seriously hoping to get into a pack animal soon.

We ride trails almost every weekend once the weather gets better. This last year most of our riding was in the NF Umatilla Wilderness, up around tollgate. We're planning on one ride from the SF Walla Walla up into the wilderness. I'm also hoping to get into the Wenaha-Tucannon more, as well as the Eagle Caps. I'm afraid my days of hunting the Pasayten are numbered as I think I'm moving into Oregon. Love that hunt.

Thanks!! - it seems like they're multiplying like rabbits. But they'll be earning their keep soon enough, better believe that!
