Thanks Clancy. That was actually pretty cool. That guy did a great job filming that by himself.

Pretty decent for a Canuck!  :chuckle:

Its pretty obvious those deer dont get much pressure. He works hard to get up there. I think BC residents can kill 5 BT's a year at least it used to be that way.

When I was a kid you used to be able to kill 7 sitka BT's a year in AK, I think now its 3 in most places up there. I have a few pictures of my dad and 4 of his buddies with 20 some bucks in a 7 day Afognak hunt.

Depends on the area..... Two of my friends went to AK and were allowed up to 5 Sitka each..... Any deer... Non resident tags... They filled 7 out of ten.....

Some areas your only allowed one up there but it changes drastically every five years or so depending on the winter. Hunter harvest has next to zero effect on the BT population up there it's all about the winter.

What I didn't like is that he leaves too much meat, he didn't take any of the neck out.  :bdid:

 :yeah:

I take every little scrap of meat off my animals. Looks like he left the neck meat, heart, rib meat And tenderloins!! Not much better table fare than BT IMO

Same for me about not taking the neck meat as well, that stuff for me is ground up for burgers and tacos. I also don't like the profanity that much, it's not needed to say a cuss word every sentence, other than that it was a great video displaying the armature hunter at its finest hour
