.257 wby reloads
« on: December 22, 2011, 05:29:25 PM »
I am looking to start reloading for my 257 and am wondering what others are having good success with. I am wanting to stay with the 120 gr partition but not set on that. At 100 yards I am shooting 1" groups. I would like to get better groups then that. That is using factory ammo. Any help and input would be appreciated. Thanks

We are loading the 110gr accubonds for my cousins .257wby. 73gr of IMR 7828. We have shot that gun out to about 1200 yards.

A very popular load is 72 grains of RL22 with a 100 grain TSX.  It should give you about 3600 ft/second and excellent accuracy.  Work up to it.
