Maybe?

My centerfire rifle hasn't been out of the safe since I bought my Bighorn several years ago--you'll end up hooked like the rest of us.

You will like it a lot. I have been using one as my number 1 go to gun for about 3 years now. It works great and shoots well. I did swap out the sites as I always do. If you ever need any help just kick me a pm

I gave up rifle hunting in 93 for archery and have been hooked ever since. I doubt the muzzy will make me lose that bug especially since archery has a longer season and generally, better units to hunt. I'm really hoping to get drawn for a multi-season tag so I can use both, haven't had much luck yet with that. :bash:

I was told my the sales guy at Cabelas I would have to buy a breech plug kit for the 11 caps and they are pretty cheap.  Got home with the box and low behold the breech plug and nipple for 11 cap were in the box.  Just had to remove the breech plug and nipple for the 209 and put the other breech plug in and there you go legal in Washington.

Yes the cva elkhorn is legal. When bought new they should come with the 2nd breech plug that lets you use the 11 or musket caps to be legal in this state

209 breech and primers are not legal to use in washington only 11 and musket caps.  I have been told the triple 7 powerder is really good to use.  Doesn't foul the barrel as much and very easy to clean.  It is sitting as of right now.  Fishing is on the agenda for me for a while.

I won't use the over the counter stuff in the muzzy section of the store. I use "never sieze" from the auto parts store. 10 years now and I am still on my original nipple.
