So I wont be able to make the trip with you guys in June But I am going for memorial day and taking my wife and 2 kids 9 and 4. My question to you guys from around there or who have been there is should we camp at lyons ferry koa or green valley rv park about 40 mile from koa? I am going to leave the boat at home so which place has more land access for fishing and which place is more kid friendly if they want to get wet? I have never been and really want to hook the kiddos up on some good cats

If you don't have a boat, you can drive across the bridge to the state park on the other side of the river. Nice place w/breakwater for taking the kids swimming. Plus, you can hike out onto the breakwater and fish for cats on the other side of the dike. Alternatively, you could hike up the Palouse and catfish from the bank.ET

So now the Corps only has the day use area open, (the campground and boat launch on the NORTH side are closed).
