Yes, they have become a little famous back there, and I suggested their earlier book as it was printed before their fame got to be a little much.   A lot of people use tracking as a method for taking big bucks in VT, NH, and Maine.  Some (myself and family members included) won't even bother hunting very seriously until there is snow on the ground. The Benoits have certainly marketed their skills, but the book does have some useful and basic information for anyone that is wondering how it is done.  You've got to understand one thing when reading it though....the mindframe of a tracker on the east coast would certainly cause a stir with some of the ethics police on this site.  Shots at a running deer and through a little brush are common.  The "slow them down" method is sometimes used once the snow hits.  In other words... you take the shot you get, cause a deer that is slowed down is a lot easier to catch up to and kill with a little tracking snow.  Flame on...  ;)

Wasn't he Canadian and did himself and his wife in a couple years ago? Seem's like I read something about that. If it's the same Chris Benoit.

Yea.  Steroid snap.  Choked his wife and son to dead then hung himself on his workout equipment.  2 days before a PPV where he was set to win the WWE/WWF championship

Make that four now.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.
