Colville/Spokane area taxidermist for moose
« on: July 17, 2008, 07:12:56 AM »
As mentioned in a previous thread my brother and I got drawn for the Huckleberry Range moose hunt. Do any of you know of a good taxidermist up in that area that could do a bust mount of a moose for us? I have seen some taxidermy work that made me shudder. Some work is really lousy and I would hate to have to look at a screwed up moose mount for the rest of my life so quality work is really important to me. Thanks, Brian.

Fuson's (509)276-1040

Darin Fuson

He's north of Suncrest near Spokane. He's done a Bobcat rug for me and is doing my bear. I feel uncomfortable saying he's the greatest because tastes vary so much and we are talking about a one in a lifetime hunt. I'll surely use him for sure on any trophy's I'll need done in the future. He's a super nice guy and I bet you could gleen some info off of him for hunting spots too. Ask for pics of his work and I'm sure he'll accomodate. He's busier than hell so others must like him too.

I would call Dennis Dumont (Dumont Taxidermy 406-293-6776) in Libby,mt. He will often make arrangements to meet in Post Falls or even spokane. He does an awesome moose and if you want a bear rug his are by far the best I have ever seen.
Good Luck,
Tim

I'll second Darren Fuson, EXCELLENT work and you won't meet a more honest and down to earth guy.
