The only "Good" I saw there was that he took it like a champ, I've personally witnessed way more dramatic.

And it is hard to tell but it looks to me that during the slow motion shot of it all he's sweeping himself(leg) again with the muzzle after he just trimmed himself. He's lucky it wasn't a good solid hit to his knee.
