My Girls First Shed Antler
« on: December 29, 2011, 06:54:15 PM »
Think I may have figured out how to post pics so here goes.  My daughter found this When we was out last March.  I was very proud of her, and she was also.

When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

How cool!  I bet she's got that shed proudly displayed in her room!

It was cute, on the way home she wouldnt let go of it and asked me if it was hers and if she can keep it, I told her of coarse it is, you found it.  Had to stop by and show gramps on the way home also.  She wants me to make a coat rack for her new room she will be getting shortly.

That's great.  You could tell from the picture she wasn't going to let go of that thing.

I just saw this thread and I have to say, for me being a mom and a hunter, I love this picture more than any trophy picture.  A girl in the woods with her dad, finding something most people never even look for, one of the true treasures of the outdoors.  You should be (I know you are) so proud.  LOVE THIS!

Congrats to your daughter. Glad to see you were showing her the correct way of not harassing the animals with snow machines or while they are on their winter range!!

The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
