People, back off.  Those of us with nautical knowledge, know the hole in the bottom was on purpose.  That is where he is installing the through the hull sonar sensor.  I also like the way he is planning for emergency meals.  If you look closely you can see the start of the botanical garden inside the hull..  Yum Yum, watercress and alge sandwitches.  Looking forward to seeing the finished item.  With that said, I would like to remind you that I am 72 years old, and have a heart problem.  You know, just saying.  On the serious side, take your time, and enjoy.

Jerbear are you hinting that you would like to be the first mate on the new boat he Named Big Hole in the Bottom on it;s maiden trip out. He said the hole will help him spot crabs better and him keep low profile. He was going to make a new pole-can hardly wait to see that.

Hope you got an Epirb for Christmas!  :chuckle:
I can't give you too much crap, I've built and re-built several boats (commercial and pleasure) myself.  The last one I help turn a 24 foot bomber style boat into a aft cabin bow picker gillnetter for a buddy.  It is a pain in the butt, but a lot of fun as well.  Good luck!
