I am curious to see what the guy was running from that was bad enough that he thought it was worth it to shoot a ranger over to try and get away.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I am lost for words. The only thing that comes to mind is that I hope they have to take him out the the same way he did her. Prayers for her family.
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

Troyer is meeting the media at the park entrance in about 15 min.

Here's the Longmire webcam link.

Looks like about 12-14 LE vehicles.

Man this is horrible, this person just wrecked the lives of so many people.  It's hard to imagine there is people out there that are capable of doing such a awful thing.  Take the life of a innocent person just doing their job, to protect themselves from from going to jail or prison because their life is pathetic and worthless.  It's a real shame and I truly hope they catch this person and he or she gets what's coming in this life and the next.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

I, too, hope LE is able to administer swift and final justice.
I'd just like to remind everybody that it's about the hunting, not just the killing. In other words, it's about the total experience, the sport itself and the challenge involved. Bowhunting, done right, is a justifiable and honorable pursuit. Done for the wrong reasons, simply chalking up kills and seeking personal glory, it's taking away rather than giving back to a principled way of life that has to be experienced to be understood. No. I have no words. It seems like just yesterday Pierce County lost 5 of its finest. I'm ready to join their posse.

Prayers for the rangers family that is for sure.  :'(

The ranger was identified as 34-year-old Margaret Anderson. She had set up a vehicle as a roadblock on a park road just before the shooting, which happened at about 11 a.m. near the Longmire Ranger Station in the southwestern part of the park, Lee Taylor said

Wonder what this guy was doing in the park ? she had to of ran his plates to see he was a felon .... and she should of called for back up ...This really suz !  These rangers need to be paired up this day and age ...to many whack jobs out there.. sorry to hear this type sheet ...Sad !
backup is not usually readily available to natural resource le officers such as wdfw or nps. To say she should have called for back up after finding out she died is rather disturbing

In some LEAs it is policy to have at least two officers and/or air support before initiating a felony stop. That said it may not be known if there were exigent circumstances to expedite the encounter.

R.I.P. .... Prayers for the family.
