Infiltration of the Wildlife (Game) departments
« on: January 02, 2012, 08:51:11 PM »
For the past 75 to 80 years, the North American Model for Wildlife Conservation was working just fine and dandy in this country. Everywhere big game populations steadily climbed from record lows...to record highs. Then, about 15 to 20 years ago, an entirely new breed of wildlife manager and wildlife biologist began to infiltrate the ranks of true professional wildlife experts...and from that point on, in the Northern Rockies our wildlife resources have plummeted. We don't need any idiotic "Wildlife Summit" to come up with a new management plan...what we need is a good ol' inquisition to purge our wildlife agencies of new wave greenie biologists and managers which have been brainwashed by the likes of Dr. Robert Ream, a former professor of wildlife studies at the University of Montana. Toby Bridges, LOBO WATCH

We have the same thing happening in WA...or rather it happened...and now we will have the same troubles foisted upon us and the GAME that WE PAID FOR by the wolfies and the Greens and also those who see it as a way to stop Hunting.
A Smith & Wesson Beats Four Aces.

Whatta ya mean I can't have one of each?

What we have here is...Washington Department of NO Fish and WATCHABLE Wildlife.

WDFW is going farther and farther backwards....we need FISH AND GAME back!

I don't know how to infiltrate their areas or I'd say turnabout is fair game. Unfortunately, how do we keep them out of our arenas? Maybe make it so confirmed sportsmen/women are the only ones that may apply? I'm not sure that would work either though.

The only way we are going to put a stop to this is to refuse to buy tags and lotteries.  The pocket book is their only motivation.  We do that for the upcoming season and bankrupt them, we will have a say.

We need to educate ourselves and understand what they are doing. They are changing the very landscape of the wilderness by changing the model that has been created.
What is the "mission statement" of WDFW?
Compare it to Idaho's IDFG.

I think these people should be met with the same distain as anti-gun lobby groups. Instead, we work with them, support them, and pay them millions of dollars.

Anyone a lawyer on here? I think we need to stand-up as a group all  of us Bow Hunters, Gun Hunters and Smokepole hunters need to stand together and try to work on getting a change to our game department.  We need to try and get an Initiative to revamp the Game department so that the the revenue goes into the departments coffers and not the state general fund, and that all board and director positions are elected by the people and must have a background in the outdoors not just a biology degree. I know it will most likely fail because of the greenies and wolfies but hell its worth the fight?

Anyone else think this is a good idea.

All to often people speak out against the game department and the way it is managed, but no one does anything about it. I think now is the time to not just shake a big stick but to use it!!!!!

Who's with me??????

I was trying to get a job as a wildlife bio in the late 80's.  Affirmative action is what I blame.  Many jobs I applied for ended up being filled by women.  Most were probably qualified for the job, but as we know, women do tend to be less hunting oriented (especially at that time) than men.

 :yeah:
Around 86 I applied and interviewed for a full time job at the Perdy Creek Hatchery at Hoodsport.  The guy told me that I was plenty qualified and knew more than any of the others he had interviewed.  Then, he told me that he couldn't hire me because I wasn't a minority, woman, disabled or didn't have a tribal affiliation.  He said that their prime candidate would be a female indian.   :bash:  He was pretty cool and let me come in and volunteer to help out a few times.

For those that haven't figured it out yet, THAT IS WHAT THEY WANT!  There is no need for hunters if we have enough wolves, cougars, coyotes and bears!

I would bet that if you took the $$$ incentive away from the ESA for game departments AND Nonprofits we would be in much better shape. $$$ is the source of this (and many other) Problem...

There is more money for a Socialist Government in forced regulation (ESA) than there is in voluntary fee's for tags and licenses. If you look at the mandate of WDFW it is to play around with ecosystems and control human interaction with said ecosystems.

It seems the new Resolution with people around me is to "try" to go vegan. They say if I care about the planet I would just try it, or to make improvements in my life by adopting their better way of living.  :liar:   :con: It's like it's a new religion. I honestly feel like I am living in a "Invasion of The Body Snatchers" reality.

it is a religion! They Are dirt worshipers. They have as much proof as most religions do of thier god... Would be a way to controll them if they also didn't worship the power of government.  :twocents:
