Elk replaced by wolves at the zoo.
« on: January 03, 2012, 12:19:10 PM »
So I took my daughters to the Oregon Zoo yesterday and wanted to go see the big bull in the elk meadow, but discovered that there were no elk anymore and that they had been replaced by gray wolves.  How ironic! I did a little research and found this article attached below.  Looks like they have no intentions of putting elk back on display.  Oh well, in my mind zoo's a cruel anyway.  I found it pretty funny that the bull elk's name was Buck. I guess some people are oblivious.  O'le Buck the elk sure had some nice horns  :chuckle:

Sounds like the zoo is simply mirroring MT and ID and what will happen in OR and WA meadows in the upcoming years....    :bash:

My thoughts exactly.  I couldn't believe it when I saw it. What is this world coming to?
