Personal favorite is #4 buck pretty close to the size of T shot. Get a pretty dense pattern of big shot.

I use 3 inch lead BB's, just because it's what I have. I've got three boxes of 25 with only a couple missing so they'll probably last me a lifetime. If I was to buy some specifically for coyotes I'd probably get the Dead Coyote loads.

I went to walmart, and got some more shot, the only shot they had besides Lead target shot was 00 buck shot.  That should fold them no probs   I plan on stocking up on turkey load once it hits the shelves.

I've shot 5 coyotes with 3.5" steel BB.3 under 20 yards all folded. One was 30 and ran around in circles for about 20 yards and died. One was running vertical to me and I rolled him then he ran about 50 yards and died, he was about 40 yards. never lost a coyote with a shotgun and those are the only shells i have used.

Well I pour my own buck shot so i Use 2 3/4 #0 buckshot. 9 30 cal pellets. it smacks them down If i were to buy i'd use as big and heavy turkey shot as i could get my hands on lead BB or t shot in 3 or 3.5.  I've rolledm with #4 shot lead while pheasant hunting... I've used #4 buck but i like the larger pellet or the higher velocity/ swarm with turkey loads.  :twocents:

HOW?? :chuckle: PICS!!!!

I didn't take pics...when my dog was just a pup I sent her into a brushy hellhole and suddenly I hear this argument between two dogs! Out squirts a coyote and cali is hot on its heels. The coyote was about 15 yards ahead and I dumped a load of 7 1/2's into it.....rolled it. Cali and the coyote had a 10 second scrap and there she was trying to bring me a dead coyote bigger than she was. I don't think she killed it, it was the gun....most excitement in a long time.
