Moose Sheds Yet? Not me.
« on: January 04, 2012, 01:45:38 PM »
Well, I spent a half day in N. Idaho with my dad, dog and daughter... looking for duh moose cheds... got into some decent sign but never did find a bone... Daughter and Dog had fun though...dog was working pretty hard and I really think he would have let me know if he'd smelled one or stumbled on one... he did jump a couple grouskies!!

Daughter thought the work of this wood pecker was pretty cool!

We stumbled on this bait station someone left up...

Couple good photo ops!

Did find something that HAD shed... but that was it!

Just a couple more pics of the pup and kiddo!

Now..I"ll get him out in the river bottom a bit and see if we cant stumble on a whitey horn!

Looks like you had a great hike with he family.  I have one set that has dropped here in Idaho and it was a larger bull.  Wife did see a smaller one still packing last week.

 Nothing better than being outdoors with family.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

Most all of N. Idaho is highly deficient of snow right now... it is insane... Montana is the same way. Today I was in the field working, there was a 25-30 mph wind and I was walking around in a T SHIRT!!! :yike: It was 62 degrees....Jan 5... Normally, in January... with a 25 mph wind... you will not be getting out of the truck!

Went out today and all I could find were wolf tracks. :bash: I did see 4 moose though, normally I see a dozen or more in this area. 2 were bulls and they were both shed out. There's 4 paddles laying up there somewhere, unless the wolves eat those to.
