shout out to springfield armory

well i ruined the coating on my service model xd40 having it in my 4wheeler bag and not knowing there was a flashlight in there as well. the handle of the flashlight rubbed all the coating off the right side of the slide. called sprinfield and told them it was MY FAULT and that i wanted to get the gun refinished. they sent me a prepaid shipping label to return it. that was a month ago. didn't hear anything back and yesterday i get a box from fedex and low and behold my gun is back from springfield. open it up and it looks brand new. the best part is the invoice in the box says NO CHARGE!!! called them to verify and remind them it wasn't a warranty issue and they assured me that they take care of their customers and this will not cost me a dime weather or not it was my fault.

I had lost a part for my socom. They sent me a new one free of charge. Gotta love customer service.

I really like hearing stories like this. Customer service seemed to disappear when I got back from korea. I was in Ft. Drum though but it was still a bad feeling. Seems like businesses are realizing that's not gonna get them customers.
