how do you make a trigger pull shorter?????
« on: January 14, 2012, 01:54:51 PM »
I just bought a Tarus PT 145 and the trigger is very loose meaning it takes a LONG pull to fire the shot, how can I shorten teh pull or do I have to take it to a gunsmith? Trying to prevent that as I'm sure it can be done by myself.

It's a double action pistol....not much you can do about that.

that is because Glocks are always cocked when a round is chambered. SingleActionOnly

You are incorrect here, Glocks are at half-cock when a round is chambered, the action of the trigger itself is what pulls the striker back that last bit before letting it fly. They operate as a double-action with one exception, if a misfire occurs you cannot pull the trigger again to gain a full power strike to the primer.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
