AR lower choice
« on: January 06, 2012, 07:23:38 PM »
I do not own an AR type rifle, but I am thinking seriously about putting one together.
I am looking at a complete lower from Palmetto(sp) or surplusammo.....anyone have an opinion on either??
Thanks

It never changes, but it is always different.

Either will do just fine, Surplus Ammo in Lakewood is a great place to deal with and you will not have to pay for shipping or transfer fees if you purchase it from them.

I believe that have them for $79.99.

Both are good quality but I think you are taking a beating on the price vs assembling your own lower, if the assembled lower prices were with a good trigger vs the grittiest and chittiest money can buy for $40 I would jump on one but they are not.

Assembling your own stripped lower is definitely the way to go.

The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
