Muskrat Primeness
« on: January 06, 2012, 09:05:00 PM »
Will they be prime or sellable up until the end of our trapping season?

Trying to decide whether to wait until next fall to start, or pull the trigger and pay the $40+ for license and go out and trap a few rats to get my feet wet, so to speak, I really dont want to waste fur.

Thanks in advance...

Yea, I'm not looking to make money, just get some practice in.

So Dave yer saying I'm good to go if I trap through Feb as far as prime?

Cool, I'm shooting for 10......  :yike:

Trapperguy22, I think you had mentioned you do the NAFA thing, let me know if you need a hand, I would do it for free of course.

You are in napavine?

I work at the auction house, exit 68, 1/2 mile east.

OK, I went to the Wa dept of fishheads and flukeheads online hoping to buy a trapping license, well that aint gonna happen, I can live with that, trip to sunbirds or wal-mart will do, hope I dont run into any hassles there.

It kind of pissed me off that they dont give a discount for seniors or disabled, I'm neither yet(knock on wood), but it still pissed me off, how bout a break for veterans?(no I'm not that either)

And what the flock is up with discovery? Pay to play on DNR lands (which we own, by the way), now I'm not sure where I can trap off private land.

Oh well, its 10 musquash or bust!

"I shooting for ten"

Better shoot higher,,,,,, You will probably catch more then that in one trap ..

End of the season or iif you get a lot of flooding you might have some bite marks ,,,,and you don't get dinked for one or two holes unless you sell to oll squeaky in pateros>>>>  :)

I trapped on the east coast 25 years ago and thinking of getting back into little stuff like rats, how is the population on the west side north of Everett?
