:bumpin:      Tomorrow is too late!

tomorrow is not too late. Tomorrow is for public input. The Committee may ponder on this for several days before making a decision to pas it on to the house for a vote. Once it is in the house then the real mail storm begins. Once it is in the house, we need to e-mail all 98 representatives with the same message... but each person is only responsible for the 2 reps for their District regardless of party. Of course you could e-mail all 98 but they usually only pay the most attention to their constituents... so get ready for round tomorrow. Actually you could begin now

I will be there, too. Let's all try to see each other face-to-face afterwards. Very cool that so many are participating.

Emailed them all individually. Hopefully more people will get on this. As much as I hate politics, we as hunters can no longer afford to sit on the sidelines.

Add me to that list. I sent an email about 15 minutes ago to all 12.
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. - Psalm 127:3-5

I just sent mine off to the whole list with an emphasis on Rep. Stanford from the 1st District. That felt good! Our problem(my problem) is as a demographic we keep our head down and are not all that organized/socialized from a political stand point, so we make a little, tiny, squeek. When other interest groups of fewer numbers and perhaps  less of a contribution to society make a constant, deadening, nerve racking, SQUEEK!!!  I'm liking the idea of turning my squeek up.  Sooo...SQUEEK up or shut up!

I just recieved the following reply to one of the emails I sent:

Kristopher,

We just had a hearing on this bill in the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee (AGNR). I left with very mixed feelings on the bill. I feel for my colleagues in eastern Washington who are concerned that they will bear all of the weight of the recovery and that wolf recovery may be deemed achieved with all breeding pairs being located in Eastern Washington and none in Western Washington. That means passage of the bill will then require that wolves be reintroduced in Western Washington before recovery is deemed to be achieved. This guarantees that my constituents will bear the burden of wolf recovery and suffer all of the consequences. I am not sure I can support that…
