i just got one wanted to no if its as good as they say . it has the lock on it and i got for well pretty cheap i think . 6in barrel looks nice never had one before .

carried one as a police officer,well a 586, liked it better than the python..I carry a 629 now for hunting  in a 44mag

I have two, a 4” and 6”.  The only things that I would suggest is to get trigger work done, it is relatively cheap and makes a world of difference.  Trust me on the trigger job, you will be very, very, pleased with double action once you do this.  You might (or have someone else when you get the trigger work done.) polish the hammer and trigger (for the life of me I don’t know why S&W doesn’t’ do it), it comes out real nice and matches the look of the overall revolver.   

If you reload, 158gr LSWC in front of W231 using a .38 special case are cheap and very, very accurate.

took it out today shot it is now my go to gun has 6in barrel love it to death
