Swarovski owners
« on: January 09, 2012, 07:11:49 AM »
Anybody on here second or later owners of Swarovskis and send them in for cleaning?    Warrenty card states it's original owner limited lifetime.   I'm hoping they are pretty lax on the original owner thing.  Also, would love to know how long the binos where gone?

What type of cleaning is it that you can't do yourself?
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

Sorry, Bob.  Didn't see the question.  As for now, I don't forsee any that I can't do. But, I have read about a number of guys who have sent theirs back in afters years of hard use to be 're-furbished' if you will.   I got mine second hand and read the warrenty card and it spoke of original owner only. So, that is why I asked.

Send them in. Don't worry a bit about being the second owner. Also, if youneed them back in a hurry, send them next day air, and pay to have them shipped back next day air. I've done it a couple times  and had my stuff back in less than two weeks. :twocents:

I sure as heck did not. I asked for a loaner, as i have heard they did that for some guys since I sent it in in may and it was getting close to bear season and they still had it......no deal.

I scratched a lense on mine and they charged me $75 to replace it., got them back in less than a month and they looked brand new, they were pretty beat before.
 Pretty good deal I thought.

Wow?! That should not happen.

As said above, send them in. They'll fix them up and likely for no money. If you have to pay $75 or so... big deal though. Well worth it.

I have a pair of SLC's I bought 12 years ago with no warranty card. I have sent them in twice to be cleaned and had 1 lens replaced for 75.00$. I am about to send them in again and replace both objectives. Alaways returned in a timely manner.

I bought a used pair of El's and sent them in last year and they cleaned and fixed the leak no charge.  It took about 4 weeks.

Just got e-mail from them mine are fixed and being shipped. They had me send them to RI and then shipped to Austria then back to RI so it;s been 2 months and a week for me and these were brand new never used and they would show 28 yards and that was it. Sucks to pay that much and never get to use them for the whole season.
