Winchester model 24 16ga side by side.  I searched the serial number and found out it was made in 1949.  Its a great grouse gun, best $250 I've ever spent.

I bought a Model 700 Classic Remington 30.06 in 1975. Still in almost mint condition and shoots great groups.

My oldest is not anything to exotic. It is a bolt action Remington .22. My father purchased it when he was in his early 20's (now early 60's) and gave it to me some years ago. It is my first firearm owned and will be the one that is never gotten rid of, only passed on.

I've got 5 Winch. Mod. 97's and one is over 100 yrs old, 12ga., full choke, 31 inch bbl. and still shoots nice or it did last time I shot it. It stays in the safe now. One of the others is a 16ga. and then I use the others for Cowboy Action Shooting. Have a Ruger Blackhawk shipped from the factory in '57 that I bought used back in '72 for $85. I use it for CAS also. Then I think it's a Mod 61 or 61A Winch. pump 22 that was my dad's. I guess my kids will get these after I kick the bucket.

My answer is: I dont know. Best guess is what the dude told me who sold it and that its from the 1870s and is French. Looks to be a breech action.shotgun whose. Stock was probably cut down. The word "HUNTER" is stamped on the barrel but nothing more. I figured it could be junk, but Im a sucker for well patinaed wood and at $20 I couldn't be out much. Ideas?

Is the '97 for sale? They're a reliable gun. I've put a lotta shells thru my '97 that I use for CAS.

The oldest that I have is a Winchester 1892, 25-20 octogon barrel. I beive it was manufactured in 1899. When my great grandfather passed my great grandmother said he wanted you to have these and handed me the 1892 and a S and W model 35 22/32 target manufactured in 1955.

1938 - 12 Gauge Winchester Shotgun. Break action, single barrel.

1884 Trapdoor date stamped 1892.  I also have a double barrel damascus barrel 12 g. Forend Arms but am not sure of the date of manufacture.

My parents have a 1863 Springfield found in a corn crib in the fifties that has my name on it.  It is, unfortunately, not fireable, but still cool.

I have a Civil War muzzleloader. My grandma got it for us at some small second hand store back east. Come to find out now it is worth a chunk of change. Manufactured in the mid 1800's
