Olympic Archery, Olympia. Any good?
« on: January 11, 2012, 10:25:15 AM »
I need to have my son shoot a few bows before we buy.  Is Olympic Archery in Olympia any good?  Looking to have him shoot the Diamond Razors Edge, PSE Stinger 3G, and the PSE Rally.

He's 10.  He pulls about 45lbs and a draw length of 25".  Looking to get him a bow that can easily adjust as he grows, without having to swap limbs and all that crap.

Thanks

They seemed decent when I used to go in there, but that was six and more years ago.

I didn't even know they were still there. Thought they went out of business several years ago.   :dunno:

They are not there anymore. They are listed in some searches but they are gone beleive me.

I think they closest to Oly is in Rainier, Wa.

Lucky shot in Chehalis any good?

I highly recommend Lucky Shot. They got the limbs replaced by warranty on my Martin bow and I didn't even purchase the bow from them. I dropped it off with them on a friday evening in October, and it was ready to be picked up the following Wednesday. Now that's fast service!

Also they do have a very nice indoor shooting range.

He mentioned a few Mission bows.  Not as good head to head reviews against the Razors edge but, feel is better than someone elses review so, I'll have him shoot them all and we'll see

Definately check out the Mission Craze if you have the chance. I just got one for my 9 year old and it is smooth and quiet. And it can be put into service as a backup if something happens to your bow. It is adjustable  up to 72 pounds and 30". All you would have to buy is arrows as he ups the poundage.   :twocents:

Lucky Shot is where it is at, imo. I travel from Spanaway all the way to there just because they treat you right. Every other place that I have tried has been a bad experience. I really like the guys guy there. But, like another poster said up there, they carry Matthews and Bowtech, for the most part.
