Needing some opinions.....
I purchased one of these sights to go on my new Knight DISC Extreme. When I try to mount it using the rear scope mount holes, it interferes with the bolt handle lift. Is there any reason not to use the forward scope mount holes? Would it defeat the purpose of the peep sight? I called Williams and they had no idea why it gets in the way of the bolt handle.
What would you guys do?
Well if Steve @ Williams said it should mount you now have my curiosity peaked...
OK - i am sitting here with my Big Horn with a Williams FP sight mounted in the rear scope holes... There are 3 holes that make up the rear scope mount. To get the FP to work on my Big Horn it
HAS to be me mounted in the front 2 holes of the rear scope mount.
Now I have my DISC and it appears that you most also mount the FP in the front two holes so the bolt handle will clear... When I flip it over - ifthe FP is mounted in the fron two holes it should still clear the bolt 'quick release' pin.
So my question is... have you tried mounting it in the front two hole of the rear mount? If so what gets in the way when you do?
The other question you bring up - yes, I believe it will still be effective if mounted in the forward scope holes...
Let me know what you find... I can get some pictures on this end if that would help.
But from here it really looks like it might work... I do not have a bare DISC to try it on myself.
