I know a guy at work who drew the tag about 20 years ago !
He said his hunt was over in 20 minutes on opening day. He blew a bugle, and hid behind a tree as a nice 5 point charged him. Luckily, he shot it dead ! lol

This unit is not what it use to be. Ever since they opened up the south rainier unit for the early muzzleloader hunt it has gone down hill every year. But now that the carlton has the earlier sept. dates it might be better, since you get at them before the muzzleloader guys do. Also I hope you have horses. If you see a 300 inch bull DO NOT pass it up. And I think that I would shoot the first 6x6 I saw. Still should be a fun hunt.
