I'm going after Brant tomorrow on the Willipa.  I'll let you know what we see.  From what I've heard it is slim pickins for birds down there right now.

i can't vouch for willapa but grays harbor has been really slow this year for me.  not seeing many birds at all.

in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

We managed to get 4 of our 6 Brant yesterday.  Not a lot of birds down there.  A few flocks of ducks, but very shy.  They have obviously been pounded hard where we were at.

I grew up hunting Willapa, and it has always been an early to mid season proposition, then the birds move on.  Oct/Nov are usually great though.

Seemed like it was hit or miss this season.  I had the best day in three years of duck hunting out on the saltwater earlier this season.  Then it got alot harder.  Theres still plenty of birds on the salt, they are just flocked up mainly in spots that are hard to hunt because the brush is only 1 1/2 ft tall for a quarter mile around so theres no where to hide.  Well, now I know I am not the only one who has found this season very depressing at times.  Good Luck.
