I can't wait. Hoepfully I will get drawn again. I've put in for it for the last six years. I drew the second year and nothing since. Atleast I have 4 points. That should help.
no bears in hancock

My choice is in...hope to draw with only a couple of points.. If not I'll be out there with someone who does draw.  Love spring bear hunting up here..... dang it now you got me getting all excited already thinking about it.  Time to get my permit map out and start looking at it again... since its been the same one for years now.  Hopefully we don't get a metric buttload of snow just before it opens like we have the last 2 years.   :bash:

Is that why the harvest stats look low? Would love to get another bear, but not sure about the odds

I know for the area I hunt it had an adverse affect.  Bears didn't seem to really get started until near the end of the season the past 2 years there.

http://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/permits/faq.html

Gives the dates for the main special permits, but i glanced at it and didnt find it for the bear(didnt look too hard). I would get it done before Feb just to be safe.

Not sure yet if I will, I have been putting in for a lot for several years and have never drawn, its getting hard to explain the funds to the wife for it.
