spring bear weather

What kind off weather could one expect in the blues for a spring bear hunt I have heard some years you cant even hunt for them do to the snow being to deep is that normal that time of year.

Went in there last year on my spring hunt. coming in fromthe east was fine. but there wasnt as many animals as i was expecting. I think the west has alot more animals. But west side had to much snow and that was late may.
