Bullet sample place
« on: January 13, 2012, 10:24:29 PM »
For the life of me I can not remember the site that sells sample bullet packs. Like packs of 10's so a guy does not have to buy a whole box. I have a few bullets I am wanting to play with in a few guns to see what type of groups I can get from them. Does anyone know the site? I have seen a few add's on the outdoor channels but cant remember.

I think MDGrand gave me a link to that site one time. I have it saved in my favorites on my other computer but it is out of commission right now.

Darn, I am sure someone knows the place. I just hate to buy boxes of 50 or 100 when I can learn all I need in about 9 shots. I have lots of boxes of bullets with about 10 missing from them :chuckle: So that is why I am looking for this place.

We should get a bullet exchange going.  Everyone gets a turn at the box to take out and test what they want to test, and put in whatever they have extra for the next guy to try.

Carp that site was horrible anyway. I say a lot of bullets approaching the dollar per bullet amount. You'd be better off buying a box of 50 and if you didn't like the bullets selling them for half what you got them for with only 10 missing.  :twocents:

Most swift Scirocco II. There is a few others that I have thought about but mainly looking to buy some .338 210g bullets. They sell them in boxes of 100! so its like 70.00 a box so I am not going to spend that kinda of money.

It usually takes me about a box of bullets sometimes more to find an accurate load. Lots of differnt powder and weight combinations. I don't think I would give up on a bullet after 10 tries.   :twocents:   :hello:

Like I said it takes me about 9 rds to know if I am going to keep playing with them. If I load up 3 different loads at the loads book coal, and they group no better then 1.5. I can move to my next batch of bullets instead playing with them. If a gun likes a bullet it should shoot well without having to play much with the load right off the bat. There is 1,000's of loads that a guy can do with one bullet and powder and coal and etc. I can pick the good ones in about 10 shots and dial them in from there. If I shoot 3 groups and they are 1.75 1.5 2.0. then I can scrap them and move to the next bullet

Am I missing something? How do you make a purchase on that site? I can't find a purchase page and I try clicking on the bullet samples with the prices and NADA! Maybe I'm just having one of those days???

Never mind, I found the link to " Dealers". Looks link SincairIntl is the only US dealer. I'll wait until I need to make a order with them, if I just order the bullets. I will get totally screwed for the shipping.
