klickitat elk have finally arrived

 Been seeing a few around here an there, usually have about 75-100 hangin in our field from mid nov. till april. Well I went to the barn about 11.30 and looked out in the field and there they lay for first time this year. snowin to hard to get good picts. but will get some up soon.

   Posting private land in Wa. state isn't a requirement in order to press trespassing charges.

   I don't do it either and I make sure it's open land before I try a new area.  The point Hair was trying to make is if it's not clearly marked and any person was not reasonably able to identify that area was private then it's probably not going to stick.  Not saying I or anybody on here is going to press the issue but there are some that would.

Actually it is. Unless the land is cultivated or fenced. We've had this discussion on here many times. Well, I should also say there is one other exception: if the landowner tells you to leave and you don't, you can get charged with trespassing. But that should be common sense.

Of course I've had "landowners" tell me to leave or he'd call the sheriff. Only problem with that is I was on state land. So you really do need to know who owns the land you're hunting on.
