2012 Hunting Schedule goofy dates
« on: January 19, 2012, 10:05:45 AM »
Anyone know why WDFW elected to start and end on weekdays?   This means 4 more days total vacation that we'll have to ste aside, cause in past yeares, we started and ended on weeekends.  Not now.

Those are all 2011 hunt dates. Might explain some of the confusion.

Archery deer always opens September 1 an elk the 12th (I think) regardless if that is a weekday or weekend. Rifle deer is always Saturday opening though I believe.

Archery always starts during the week and ends during the week. Wich screws us out of another weekend unless you use more vacation.

I like the archery opener on the weekday as most are working and its less competition for me. The ’12 opener is on a Saturday which means there will be more competition. If this weren’t a leap year the opener would have been on a Friday.
God Bless,
Scott
