SHOT MY LAST 4 DUCKS THIS MORNING ..! !!!!MAJOR UP DATE OF FROG EATER !!!!

Went this morning and got a couple ducks to mount and when I skun out this Woody this is what I found .... how did he swallow the dang things Found many in Turkeys BUT never a duck !!!!!

having owned pet ducks, i've seen them east just about anything they can swallow.  frogs, mice, or their favorite - banana slugs!

I've always considered wood ducks the best eating duck besides teal.

Somewhere on this site there is a link of pictures that Boneaddict took of some wood ducks eating frogs. It was amazing.  I will look for it.

It is amazing how much they can fit in their mouth.  A client brought a Woody in to have mounted and I can see that it's throat was twice it's size.  I pulled 8 acorns out of his throat

Thats pretty cool.  If the frogs arnt old you could put them in stew and then boil them til their bones are soft then add all the regualr stew igrediants.
