Advice for the last weekend?
« on: January 27, 2012, 10:46:11 AM »
I am in a delimia I am not sure whether to hunt the salt water or push inland towards ponds?  I hunt in Snohomish county mostly.  I have seen more birds near my house on puddles than I have ever seen before, although I can't hunt in that area.  Yet when I drive up to bellingham on 1-5, I have not seen as many birds out in the standing water in the fields.  It seems like this year I have gone opposite to were the birds almost every weekend and since this is the last weekend I want to make sure I am hunting in the right area.  Any advice for the closer?

I would do opposite of whatever you are thinking of doing.

I was out past conway in skagit last weekend out past the snow goose refuge on rawlins Rd and there were a ton of ducks flying out on that game dept land.
What would life be without the thrill of the hunt?

There are birds all over right now.  We may not get the weather to push them around, so I would try to hunt a spot where you have been seeing them.
Cut em!
