Make the first two choices your best ones, the last three won't matter.  Also, Arizona is not fond of telling you this, but your first two choices  (10,3C) required 10 or more points to draw and the permits were all gone in the 20% "bonus" draw, where permits go to maximum point holders in those hunt units only.

Good luck.

Just put in my app. Long, long draw odds. Max points and special draw. I guess someone has to draw.

Ouch! those special permits are expensive as hell. I put in for 62 rifle oct. 1st bull regular pemit, I have 5 points, I guess I missed the first year they offered points :bash:.  Benchleg, with max points you should have a decent chance. Good luck all.

Try again, I submitted about a week ago. They are not mailing out non res regs this year unless you call them and ask for it.

Not going to put in for an elk tag.  Just going to buy a point again this year for elk.  Gonna put in for deer and antelope next week.

bean counter.. if you draw 23n let me know.. i hunted there four years ago on a late elk hunt and have a few hotspots there. i believe they only give one nonresident tag and it will be going to a max point holder so if you do not have max points i wouldnt put in for the unit. anyways, planning on just buying a point again this year but may put in for a blue chipper and see if i can get lucky in wyoming

Ridge,
Thanks guy! As it turned out, I pussed out on 23N for two reasons: 1. there's only 15 tags in the unit. 2. I heard that last years fire scorched quite a bit of the unit. Not sure if the grass has sprouted up and its hit that post burn prime habitat yet. I put Unit 8 in its place. I have a few points but not 8-15 like some do so I think I'm going to put in next door in New Mexico and 'risk' getting stuck with two tags over the same period. I'm NR in NM so I'm only eligible for 6% of the tags in any unit in which I apply.  :(

I am putting in as well for archery.  Not sure I will get a tag but I will have anohter point.

I actually have money this year.  It is amazing how much two kids in college and one wedding cost.  Since my little princess (AKA money pit) is off my payroll my wife and I now have money.   :IBCOOL:

I submitted the wife and I for unit 24 with 5 points, long shot but you can't draw if you don't apply!
I have a good friend and another friends dad and father-in-law who have drawn unit 30 in the past 2 years! All non-residents! Those are long odds even with max points! All shot good bulls.

Dang it...didn't draw unit 30 with max (6) points.  Draw odds were 18% with max points, just not my time.  I'm curious Finnman about more details about your experience in that unit if you'd like to PM me.

Isn't it sweet, I love it. I wish our state could draw this early, I know they have cut down some time in compared to several years ago but it's very convenient seeing results this early. Washington needs to look at what they do to get the permits out so early, ok, now you can tell me how impatient I am.....

NO luck on my elk permit draw, points only deer with the quality being down. Good to see they draw early so a guy can plan accordingly.
